sunny fall morning...

so today is saturday, and what a lovely day it is...i'm presently trying to motivate myself to delve into the wonderful world of academia and crank out a couple more pages on the papers i'm writing in an attempt to display my unapologetic genius for the world to see (or at least my professor).

i've had this blog in mind for some time, yet haven't stopped to create a space for my thoughts. i'm in between to worlds right now, the one i new for nine years as a minister and the two i'm in now as an art student. this journey has brought to my life many unique friends, an italian romance and unforgetable experiences. friends of all types who engage my intellect with topics ranging from theology, politics, fantasy football, the ever expanding world of video gaming, and one unique bit of human interaction known as "silent football." yes, it exists and i blew my first attempt, but maybe there's redemption for my cynical side which prevailed.

a true gift of this season is friendship. a man could never be as blessed with any greater gift than that of friends. "all you need is love" right? (didn't jesus say that?)
